Welcome to the SunSmart Learning Programme
The SunSmart Learning Programme focuses on students learning and using behaviours that will keep them from exposing their skin to harmful Ultraviolet Radiation and getting sunburned.
Each unit plan provides a sequence of lesson plans with accompanying support material for use in terms 1 and 4. Teachers can select from the lesson plans provided to build a learning programme suited to the identified needs of their students. The sunsmart activities can be used to support the programme or as independent learning activities.

Be SunSmart at school - reward sheet
The Undercover Cody website contains lots of useful resources for sale which are useful in supporting sunsmart learning. These include: books, posters, stickers, cds and games.
Online activities
The Undercover Cody website has online interactive activities aimed at students from 5-8 years old.
The Generation SunSmart website, has been created by the Cancer Council Australia. New Zealand school teachers and students are able to login and complete the learning modules. These modules are designed to help students find out about sun protection skin cancer and how to incorporate sunsmart behaviours into their day to day activities, then play an interactive game.
Create a poster - students can create their own personalised SunSmart poster to remind people how and when to keep safe in the sun and get some UV for vitamin D. This has been created by Cancer Council Victoria, Australia
